The mummy's curse: historical cohort study

A study in the BMJ (former British Medical Journal) indicates that there is no statistical support for the existence of the "mummy's curse" associated with the opening of King Tutankhamen's tomb.

Stop worrying.

The secret life of non-readers
As Mark Twain observed, in that terribly trenchant way of his, "The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them."
Another related problem, although trivial in comparison: I never know what gifts to get for people who don't read. I don't know the first thing about sports or sports equipment; I won't buy clothing for other people; any DVDs or music I buy, I'll want to keep for myself. So what is there for someone who doesn't or won't read?
